Det norske's main objectives within health, safety, and environment are:

• To avoid any injuries on personnel
• To avoid any undesirable effects on the environment
• To ensure that no work-related illness ensue from our operations
• To ensure the technical integrity of installations
• That we shall receive no orders or enter into disputes with Norwegian authorities

These goals are attended to through Det norske's management system by:

• Integrating HSE-related goals, strategies, and action plans in all projects carried out and managed by the company, and ensuring that tasks related to HSE are prioritized at all levels within the company

• Being a good employer. HSE-related issues pertaining to all activities offshore and onshore are to be taken seriously and duly followed up.

• Avoiding potentially difficult political or environmental areas
