Det norske oljeselskap ASA (DETNOR) focuses on exploration and development of petroleum resources on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. We are present all over the country. Det norske's registered office is located in Trondheim. With offices in Oslo, Harstad, Trondheim and Stavanger, we are present all over the country. The company currently employs a staff of more than 180.

Det norske is listed on Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticket "DETNOR".

Det norske is the second-largest operating company on the Norwegian Shelf with regard to number of operatorships and exploration activity. Det norske's current portfolio consists of 36 operatorships and interests in a total of 81 licenses.

Det norske was the winner of the Awards in Predefined Areas (APA) 2009 licensing round, Det norske was awarded a total of 11 licenses, of these six operatorships. Det norske this year recieved the highest number of awards.

Det norske is keen on utilizing the entire shelf, and are of the opinion that the Barents Sea ought to be far more prioritized - also in the northern areas

The History of Det norske Print E-mail
The new history of the Det norske oljeselskap ASA started with the establishment of the oil company Pertra in Trondheim in 2001. The businesses that today are part of Det norske started, however long before that.
